Helping those in need.

Who We Support

When Gianna & Chazz Palminteri decided to create the Child Reach Foundation they asked their life long friend and attorney, Philip Foglio to create a foundation that would help them reach out and offer help to children and families in need. Weather it would be for medical research to help cure Thalassemia, various blood diseases and cancers affecting children and other orphan diseases, it would be their mission to help those in need.

Under Mr Foglia’s guidance, The Child Reach Foundation has also dedicated themselves to helping students with scholarship money and also to police officers whose children have special needs.

Here is a quick look at some of the children and causes we have helped.

New York Law Enforcement

The Child Reach Foundation supports The Cooley’s Anemia Foundation.

In 1998, Gianna and Chazz began their journey with The Cooley’s Anemia Foundation and vowed to help patients and their parents find a cure for Thalassemia, a rare genetic blood disease affecting children. Their commitment to this cause has raised awareness, as well as substantial funds, and has helped paved the way to find a cure. Thanks to all our efforts, a cure will happen in our lifetime. Current pre-clinical trials are underway with many doctors, however leading the way is Dr. Stefano Rivella, PhD. The Child Reach Foundation is happy to announce our commitment to Dr. Rivella and his team and will award him a financial grant this year and for years to come, in order to see that a cure is found. Research in gene therapy has shown promise in finding a cure for Thalassemia and other blood diseases, and Dr. Rivella along with The Cooley’s Anemia Foundation and The Child Reach Foundation will join forces to ensure success.

Dana Karumba

Dana Karumba was awarded a grant by The Child Reach Foundation to attend a youth convention of scholars in Washington D.C. in 2008/2009. We are proud to announce that this September 2013, Dana was named Scholar of the Week at her charter school in the Bronx. We are proud of her achievements!

Italian Welfare League

Gianna and Chazz are proud to be honorary chairpersons for the Italian Welfare League’s annual luncheon, which will be held on October 19th, 2013 at the Metropolitan Club in NYC. We are proud to have been a part of this wonderful organization for the last six years and to have leant a helping hand to those in need within “La Famiglia”. Please join in an effort to help raise funds for children’s welfare – I Nostri Bambini.
